The main markets are located in China and India. Schweiter Technologies AG focuses primarily on the Composite Materials division with the company 3A Composites. It offers the materials for sandwich constructions, e.g. for use in wind farms. The core area here is the innovative processing of conventional solid materials into composites that are characterized by lightness, surface quality and thermal insulation. 3A Composites is considered the market leader in all target markets.

Schweiter has continuously invested in production capacities and in research and development in order to expand the existing product portfolio and open up new markets with innovations. This year it again invested some CHF 30 million in new projects and facilities, primarily to keep production resources efficient and competitive. A new line for the production of fire-resistant aluminium composite panels went into operation in China. Production was also relocated, such as balsa wood processing from the USA to Ecuador.
